The President of World Toilet Association (WTA), Dr Cho Young Ee from South Korea visited Malaysia recently in December 2010. His 2 day itenary was filled up with a number of activities.
In the morning of 1 December, Dr Cho called on our QRAM National Chairman, YB Dato Dr. James Dawos Mamit at his office in PWTC. Also attending the meeting was a number of QRAM Exco members. The meeting lasted about an hour and a number of topics of mutual interests were discussed.
Dr. Cho then visited the head office of the Malaysia and Singapore Coffeeshop Proprietors’ Association (MSCPA) who is also a member of associate member of QRAM. Mr Steven Ngo who is the President of the Association and also QRAM Deputy National Chairman briefed Dr Cho on the activities of the association.
Mr Steven Ngo then brought Dr Cho to visit Central Market and Datraran Merdeka. The Association then hosted a lunch in honor Dr Cho’s visit.
Later in the afternoon, Dr Cho also paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Housing and Local Government, YB Datuk Chor Chee Heung at his office. QRAM then hosted a dinner for Dr Cho held at the Royal Lake Club which was attended by a number of QRAM Exco and National Council Members.
The next day, Dr. Cho visited Melaka and witnessed the launching of QRAM’s Melaka branch. He also called on the Chief Minister of Melaka, YAB Datuk Seri Hj. Mohd Ali Rustam at his office.
Later Mr Johnson Tay brought Dr Cho on a short sight seeing trip in Melaka before departing back to Kuala Lumpur to catch his flight.
